Background of the Study
Agriculture has long been a cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy, and various governmental policies have been implemented to improve agricultural productivity and rural development. In Birnin Kebbi LGA, Kebbi State, agricultural programs have been a key focus of policy implementation aimed at fostering political development through economic empowerment (Abdullahi & Ibrahim, 2022). This study will examine the impact of these agricultural programs on political development in the region.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the extensive implementation of agricultural policies, questions remain about their true impact on political development. These policies aim to boost local economies, improve livelihoods, and contribute to political stability, but it is unclear whether they have succeeded in achieving these goals. This study seeks to investigate the effect of agricultural policy implementation on political development in Birnin Kebbi LGA.
